Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €20,000 in South Inner City Dublin
Yesterday (10/12/2019), as part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized 1kg of herbal cannabis following a search, under warrant, of a premises in the South Inner City area of Dublin. The illegal drugs, concealed in a package, have an estimated street value of €20,000.
The joint operation was conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau and Gardaí from the Drugs Unit attached to Kevin Street Garda Station.
A male was arrested at the scene by Gardaí and was detained under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Kevin Street Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
