Passenger Vessel Licence
Authorisation under the Merchant Shipping Act
Under this Act, the operator of a Passenger Vessel is required to hold one of the following:
- a Passenger Ship Safety Certificate for Irish passenger ships carrying more than 12 passengers
- a High Speed Craft Safety Certificate for Irish high speed crafts carrying 12 passengers or more
- a Passenger Boat Licence for vessels carrying less than 12 passengers.
You must submit your certificate or licence to Revenue with your application for a Passenger Vessel Licence.
