Revenue seizes herbal cannabis worth €120,000 in County Longford

Yesterday (19/10/2017), as part of ongoing joint investigations targeting drug importations in the Longford area, Revenue officers seized 6kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €120,000, in a package which had originated in Spain.

In an intelligence-led joint operation involving Revenue's Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau and the Garda Longford Drugs Unit, Gardaí arrested three Irish nationals a woman in her 50s, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s. Investigations are continuing.
