Revenue seize €17,250 at Dublin Port
Yesterday morning (14/05/2018) at Dublin District Court, Revenue officers from Dublin Port were granted a three month Cash Detention Order by Judge Byran Smyth. This followed the seizure of €17,250 when Revenue officers stopped and searched a van that arrived in Dublin Port from Holyhead on Sunday morning (13/05/2018). With the assistance of Revenue Detector Dog Blue, the sum was found concealed in the van’s glove box. The driver, a 25 year old man, was questioned. The money is suspected to be the proceeds of, or intended for use in, criminal activity.
