Revenue seize drugs worth over €3 million in Dublin Port

This morning (28/08/2018), during routine operations, involving the deployment of Revenue's mobile x-ray scanner and with the assistance of detector dog Meg, Revenue officers in Dublin Port seized 36kgs of suspected cocaine and 11kgs of suspected MDMA.

The detection of the illegal drugs, with an estimated street value of over €3 million, was made in a container which arrived on a ferry from Europe.

Investigations are ongoing.
