Revenue seize cash at Dublin Airport
Today, 4/03/2022, at a sitting of Dublin District Court, Revenue officers at Dublin Airport were granted a three-month cash detention order by Judge Treasa Kelly, following the seizure of €60,000. The cash was discovered when Revenue officers stopped and searched two men who were about to board a flight to Madrid, Spain.
The cash is suspected to be proceeds of, or intended for use in, criminal activity and is detained by Revenue in accordance with proceeds of crime legislation.
Investigations into the seizure are ongoing.
