Revenue seize 9 million cigarettes in Dublin Port
Today (13/05/2022), as a result of routine profiling, and with the assistance of Revenue’s mobile x-ray scanner and detector dog Waffle, Revenue officers seized 9 million cigarettes at Dublin Port.
The consignment of illegal cigarettes branded ‘Lambert & Butler’ had an estimated retail value of €6.8 million, representing a potential loss to the Exchequer of approximately €5.3 million.
Investigations are ongoing.
