Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €750,000 in Dublin
On Friday (05/05/2023), as part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 35kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €750,000 in Dublin 13.
The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), the Raheny and Coolock District Drugs Units and the Raheny District Crime Unit.
Two men, one aged in their 40s and one aged in their 30s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda Station in North Dublin.
Investigations are ongoing.
This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
