Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €300,000 at Dublin Airport
Yesterday (26/03/2024), as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog Maggie, Revenue officers seized 15 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €300,000 at Dublin Airport.
The illicit drugs were discovered vacuum-packed within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Toronto, Canada.
A woman in her 30s was subsequently arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Dublin Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
