Revenue seize cocaine worth over €2.5 million in Rosslare Europort
Last Friday, 11/10/2024, Revenue officers seized approximately 36kgs of cocaine, with an estimated value of almost 2,530,000, at Rosslare Europort.
The illicit drugs were discovered as a result of risk profiling, when a freight unit that had disembarked a ferry from Dunkirk, France was stopped and searched.
A man in his 50’s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained, under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, at a Garda Station in County Wexford.
Investigations are ongoing.
