Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €2,980,000 at Shannon Airport

On 26/05/2025, as a result of routine operations, Revenue officers seized 149 kgs of herbal cannabis in Shannon Airport.

The illegal drugs, with an estimated value of €2,980,000, were discovered in parcels originating from Canada and was destined for an address in Co. Clare. 

Investigations are ongoing.

This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing investigations involving organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
