Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €1.6 million in Co. Wexford
On Friday, 18/07/2025, as part of an intelligence led operation, Revenue seized 80 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €1.6 million in Co. Wexford. The herbal cannabis was discovered when a van was intercepted during the course of a joint operation conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue.
A man in his 40s was arrested and detained at a Garda Station in the east of the country under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. Investigations are ongoing.
