Important information for delivery operators adversely impacted by Fastway Couriers entering receivership
Revenue is aware that several hundred subcontractors, franchisees and solo operators across the delivery network may be adversely affected by Fastway Couriers entering receivership, and understands that this disruption can impact their timely tax compliance.
Revenue appreciates that this is a worrying time for those affected and confirms that it will work with individual couriers and businesses that have been adversely impacted to ensure that good compliance records can remain on track despite the loss of their contracts with Fastway.
As part of this, Revenue will be pragmatic in its approach where couriers experience cashflow difficulties as a result of the loss of business or payments following the closure of Fastway.
Revenue has a proven track record in successfully agreeing flexible payment arrangements where businesses are facing temporary cash flow difficulties, and we will work with those affected by the closure of Fastway to take their financial circumstances and capacity to pay into account.
Our advice to individual couriers and businesses experiencing cashflow difficulties as a result of the disruption caused by the closure of Fastway is to contact the Collector-General’s office as quickly as possible, to agree mutually suitable arrangements to ensure their timely tax compliance record remains on track.
Revenue’s Collector-General’s office can be contacted on 01 738 3663, or through MyEnquiries.
