Joint Operation results in drug seizure valued at approximately €103,000

On 4/11/2025, as part of intelligence-led operations, a total of 4.35kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €87,000 and approximately 235g of suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €16,450 were seized in south county Dublin.

The seizures were made as a result of a joint operation conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), the DMR East Divisional Drugs Unit, and Revenue’s Customs Service.

Revenue Officers seized approximately 4.35 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €87,000, and in a search conducted as part of the operation, a further quantity of approximately 235 grams of suspected cocaine were seized by An Garda Síochána bringing the total estimated value to €103,450.  

One male, aged in his 30s, was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained in a Garda Station in Co. Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
