Joint operation results in a cocaine seizure valued at approximately €4,060,000

Yesterday, 17/12/2025, as a result of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime activity under Operation TARA, a joint operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau and the Revenue Customs Service.

This operation involved searches of a business premises in the Kildare area and residential addresses in the Wexford area, and resulted in the seizure of 58 kgs of cocaine, with an estimated value of €4,060,000.

Two males, one in his 40s and one in his 30s, and one female in her 40s were arrested pursuant to Section 72 of the Criminal Justice Act 2006 in relation to facilitating and enhancing drug trafficking activities for an organised crime group. They are currently detained, pursuant to the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007, at Garda stations in Co. Kildare and Dublin.

Investigations are ongoing.
