Revenue seize 960,000 cigarettes at Dublin Airport
On 17/12/2025, following an indication from Revenue tobacco detector dog Maggie, Revenue officers at Dublin Airport seized 960,000 cigarettes. The cigarettes had an estimated value of €887,808 representing a loss to the Exchequer of approximately €688,732.
The illicit cigarettes, branded Top Gun, were discovered in an air cargo consignment, manifested as Oils & Fats, that had originated from the Middle East.
Investigations are ongoing.
