Joint operation results in a herbal cannabis seizure valued at approximately €100,000
On 22/12/2025, as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Limerick Divisional Drug & Detective Units and Revenue Customs Service, Revenue officers seized 5 kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €100,000 in Limerick City.
One female, aged in her 20s, was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently being detained in a Garda Station in Limerick under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
