Revenue seizes herbal cannabis worth over €183,000 at Dublin Airport
On 19/02/2026, as part of routine operations, Revenue officers at Dublin Airport seized 9.2kg of herbal cannabis. The cannabis has an estimated value of over €183,000.
The cannabis was discovered concealed, and vacuum packed within the luggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight originating from Thailand. A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested by An Garda Síochána under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning, 20/02/2026.
Investigations are ongoing.
This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
