Joint operation results in drug seizure valued at approximately €730,000
On 19/02/2026, as part of an intelligence led operation involving Revenue Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), 35 kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €700,000 was seized by Revenue Customs Officers.
A further 1.5 kg of herbal cannabis, with an estimated market value of €30,000, was seized by An Garda Síochána in follow-up searches.
One male, aged in his 30s, was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained in a Garda Station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region under the provisions of Section 2 of Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
