Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth over €704,000 at Dublin Airport
On 18/04/2026, as a result of routine operations, Revenue officers at Dublin Airport seized approximately 35.2 kg of herbal cannabis. The illicit drugs have an estimated value of over €704,000.
The cannabis was discovered concealed in vacuum packed packages within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight originating from Doha.
One female, aged in her 30s, was subsequently arrested by An Garda Síochána and is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in Dublin.
Investigations are ongoing.
This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
