Joint operation results in drug seizure valued at approximately €1.5 million
On 22/05/2026, as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Revenue Customs Service and Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), approximately 75 kg of suspected herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €1.5 million was seized in North Dublin.
One male, aged in his 30s, was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 in a Garda Station in Dublin.
Investigations remain ongoing.
Revenue Customs Service, in conjunction with An Garda Síochána, has now conducted three joint operations on 22/05/2026, resulting in the seizure of controlled drugs with an estimated total value of €2.75 million.
