Revenue seize 3.8 million cigarettes in Dublin

On 09/06/2026, as part of an intelligence led operation and with the assistance of detector dogs Milo and Kobe, Revenue officers seized over 3.8 million cigarettes following a search under warrant of a business premises in Dublin.

The seized cigarettes of various brands, including ‘Kent’ and ‘Marlboro’, have an estimated value of over €3.6 million representing a potential loss to the Exchequer of over €2.8 million. A man in his 70s was questioned in relation to the seizure.

Investigations are ongoing.
