Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth over €500,000 at Shannon Airport

On Wednesday 10/06/2026, as a result of routine operations and with the assistance of detector dog Brody, Revenue officers at Shannon Airport seized approximately 25 kg of herbal cannabis. The illicit drugs have an estimated value of over €500,000.

The cannabis was discovered in a shipment originating from the US and was destined for an address in the Mid-West.

Investigations are ongoing.

This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
