Revenue seize contraband worth over €722,000 in various operations
Over the past week, commencing 08/06/2026, Revenue officers seized contraband with an estimated value of over €722,000in various operations in Dublin, the Midlands, and Rosslare Europort.
The detections were made as a result of risk profiling and intelligence led operations, and included the following:
- 9.9kg of ketamine, with an estimated value of over €598,100.
- Tobacco products, with an estimated value of €42,800, representing a potential loss to the Exchequer of almost €32,900.
- 1.6kg of butane honey oil, with an estimated value of over €33,200.
- 42 counterfeit items, with an estimated value of €17,100.
- Various illicit drugs, with an estimated value of over €5,100.
The illicit drugs seizures were made as a result of risk profiling with assistance of detector dog Ciara. The parcels originated from the USA, the UK, the Netherlands, Canada, Portugal, Belgium, France, Uganda, and India, and were destined for various addresses nationwide.
The counterfeit goods were seized as they were confirmed by the Rights Holder to have infringed on Intellectual Property Rights. One thousand weapons accessories and €22,380 cash was also seized.
Investigations into all seizures are ongoing.
