Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth over €274,000 at Dublin Airport
On 07/07/2026, as part of routine operations, Revenue officers at Dublin Airport seized approximately 13.7kg of herbal cannabis. The illicit drugs have an estimated value of over €274,000.
The herbal cannabis was discovered concealed in vacuum packed packages within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight originating in Spain.
One male, aged in his 20s, was subsequently arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Dublin Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
