Joint operations result in drug seizures valued at approximately €182,000
On 04/09/2026, as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Revenue Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) along with Wexford and Laois Divisional Drugs Units, approximately 13 kg of herbal cannabis was seized at two separate locations in Wexford and Laois. The illicit drugs have an estimated value of €182,000.
Two males, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained in Wexford and Laois Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
