Joint operation results in drug seizure valued at over €447,000
On 18/09/2026, as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Revenue Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Coolock District Drugs Unit, approximately 5.7 kg of herbal cannabis was seized by Revenue officers in Dublin. The illicit drugs have an estimated value of €79,800.
A further quantity of suspected cocaine, subject to analysis, with an estimated value of €368,000, €27,900 cash and drug paraphernalia were seized by An Garda Síochána in a follow-up search.
Two females, aged in their 20s, were arrested and are currently detained in Garda Stations in north Dublin under the provisions of Section 2 of Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
In total, €447,800 of controlled drugs were seized as part of the operation.
Investigations are ongoing.
