Freedom of Information (FOI) in Revenue

Overview

The Freedom of Information Act 2014 allows you to request access to records held by Revenue. It gives you the right to have your records corrected or updated if they are incomplete, incorrect or misleading. It also allows you to get reasons for decisions taken by Revenue that affect you.

Information on Revenue’s functions, activities and schemes is routinely available to the public. Such information will continue to be available informally without the need to use the FOI Act.
