Arrivals system

The arrivals lookup service records the scheduled and actual arrival of any aircraft or ship into Ireland. Revenue receives this real-time information regarding ships and aircraft from the port and airport authorities.

Your import declaration will not finish processing until the arrival date and time have been matched with the arrivals system.

You can use the arrivals system through the Revenue Online Service (ROS) to view flight or ship information held on Revenue records.

What you need to access the service

To access the service, you will need:

  • your ROS login details
  • a valid ROS digital certificate
  • and
  • a valid registration for customs and excise in ROS.

How to access the arrivals lookup service

You can access the service through ROS by following theses steps:

  1. Login to ROS using your ROS login details and digital certificate.
  2. Click on the 'My Services' tab under the 'File Return' segment.
  3. Select the tax type 'C&E'.
  4. Click on 'File Return'.
  5. When presented with the 'Arrivals Lookup' screen, enter the arrival particulars.

You can narrow your search by inputting further details in the 'Identification of Mode of Transport' field, such as:

  • the flight number (for air transport)
  • or
  • the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) number (for sea transport).

Results from the search criteria will be presented to you if they are held on the system.
