Apply for a fuel grant for qualifying organisations

The fuel grant service allows approved organisations of the Disabled Drivers and Disabled Passengers Scheme to claim a fuel grant. This grant is up to a maximum of 4,100 litres each year. A vehicle must be approved on the scheme for a period of 12 months prior to claiming the Fuel Grant.   

You must be registered for the Revenue Online Service (ROS) to access the service.

What you need to use the service

To use the service, you will need:

  • your organisation’s tax reference number
  • the vehicle details
  • the number of litres for which you are claiming the fuel grant
  • bank account details.

How to access the service

You can access the service through ROS, by following these steps:

  • Click on the 'Other Services' section from the ROS main menu.
  • Click on the 'Drivers & Passengers with Disabilities' tile.
