Make a payment for Local Property Tax
What is the LPT payment service?
This is an online service that offers you the facility to setup a payment or a payment method for LPT or arrears of Household charge.
When accessing this service online, you have the option to setup payments across multiple periods. If you are a multi property owner, all payments and payment methods must be set up online.
You can choose from the list of possible payment methods below:
- deduction at source
- direct debit
- annual debit instruction
- debit card or credit card
- service provider
- deferral.
Who is the service for?
This service is suitable if you wish to setup a payment for any LPT or Household charge arrears.
What you need to use the service
- the liable person's Personal Public Service Number (PPSN) / Tax Reference Number (TRN)
- the unique property ID
- the secure PIN.
How to access the service
If you are accessing this service via LPT online, the service is available by following these steps:
- enter your PPSN, property ID and property PIN and click 'Login'
- click 'Setup Payment Method'
- if more than one period is outstanding you will be given the option to pay for a single period or several
- input all payment details and click 'Continue'
- review the details to be submitted and click 'Submit Details'.
If you are accessing this service via myAccount, the service is available by following these steps:
- Click 'Local Property Tax (LPT)' on the 'Property Services' card.
- Click 'Setup Payment Method'.
- If more than one period is outstanding, you will be given the option to pay for a single period or several.
- Input all payment details and click 'Continue'.
- Review the details to be submitted and click 'Submit Details'.
If you are accessing this service via ROS, the service is available by following these steps:
- Click on the 'View Property List' button in the Local Property Tax card.
- Click on the 'Property ID'.
- Click 'Setup Payment Method'.
- If more than one period is outstanding you will be given the option to pay for a single period or several.
- Input all payment details and click 'Continue'.
- Review the details to be submitted and click 'Submit Details'.
