Submitting a Local Property Tax (LPT) return for your property

Submitting a LPT Return for one property

When you access your LPT record, you will see the status of your LPT returns, payments, and any balance outstanding. 

To complete your LPT return and arrange payment, please follow these steps:

  1. Click on 'File My Return'.
  2. Enter the details relevant to your property and click 'Continue'.
  3. Select your preferred LPT payment option and click 'Continue'. 
  4. Review the information you have entered and click 'Submit Details'.
  5. You will then be prompted to re-enter your PIN. When you have entered your PIN, click 'Sign and Submit' to complete the process. 

Submitting LPT returns for 2 to 9 properties

When you access your LPT records, you will see the status of your LPT returns, payments and a summary of outstanding actions for your properties. 

To complete your LPT returns and arrange payment for each property, please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the 'Returns' dropdown and select 'File My Returns'. 
  2. You will be presented with a breakdown of the returns outstanding for all of your properties. You have the option to submit a return for each individual property, or to submit one return in respect of all properties.

If you wish to submit a separate return for each property, you should select 'view details' under the relevant property and follow the steps advised. 

Alternatively, if you wish to submit a single return for all properties, please follow these steps:

  1. Click the 'Start Now' button at the top of the page.
  2. You will then be presented with 'Common Property Details'. Enter the relevant details and click 'Continue'. 
  3. You will be presented with a list of your properties with outstanding returns due. Click 'Complete Return Details' for each property listed and click 'Continue'.
  4. Select your preferred LPT payment option and click 'Continue'.
  5. You will then be asked for further details relevant to your chosen payment option. Enter the relevant details and click 'Proceed to Payment'. 
  6. You will be prompted to re-enter your PIN and click 'Sign and Submit'. 
  7. Click 'Proceed to Payment', enter the relevant details, and click 'Pay Now'. You will receive a payment acknowledgement. Click 'Done' to proceed to the Home Screen. 

Submitting LPT returns for 10 or more properties

When you access your LPT records, you will see the status of your LPT returns, payments and a summary of outstanding actions for your properties. You do not need to submit an LPT return for each individual property. Instead, you can submit your LPT returns and payment arrangements for all your properties by uploading a file containing a list of your properties. Please follow the below steps:

  1. Click on 'File My Returns'. 
  2. Click 'Download Now' and follow the instructions outlined on screen. 
  3. When you have entered the relevant details for your properties, click 'Continue to Upload' and upload your property file. 
  4. Once the file is uploaded successfully, click 'Continue'. You will then be prompted to select a payment option. 
  5. Select your preferred LPT payment option and click 'Continue'.
  6. You will then be asked for further details relevant to the payment option you have chosen. Enter the relevant details and click 'Proceed to Payment'. 
  7. You will be prompted to re-enter your PIN and click 'Sign and Submit'. 
  8. Click 'Proceed to Payment', enter the relevant details, and click 'Pay Now'. You will receive a payment acknowledgement. Click 'Done' to proceed to the Home Screen.
