Use MyGovID to access myAccount
What is MyGovID?
MyGovID is an online identity service that enables you to access online Government services in a safe and secure manner.
Who is the service for?
If you have a verified MyGovID account you will be able to access myAccount using your MyGovID credentials.
A small number of customers will not be able to access myAccount. These include customers who:
- do not have a verified MyGovID account
- hold an active Revenue Online Service (ROS) digital cert.
Some customers will need to have their request reviewed before access can be granted to myAccount. If this is the position, you will be shown the appropriate message for your circumstances.
If your request needs to be reviewed, you will be asked to confirm whether you wish the review to take place. If yes, you will be advised that Revenue will contact you by text using the telephone number provided to advise you that the case has been resolved.
What you need to use this service
When you log in to MyGovID and select myAccount, you will be asked to provide consent to share the necessary data with Revenue. This data includes:
- Personal Public Service Number (PPSN) and any previous PPSNs
- Date of birth
- Full name
- E-mail address
- Telephone number.
How to access the service
You must have a MyGovID verified account to use this service.
You can access myAccount by following these steps:
- go to the myAccount sign in page
- click ‘Continue with MyGovID’
- provide the required information.
