Enhancements to the VAT 3 filing process in ROS

The VAT 3 online filing process in ROS has recently been enhanced. Two new functions have been introduced, namely:

1. An optional facility to provide basic details of unusual or exceptional expenditure incurred during a VAT period at the time of submission of the VAT 3 for that period.
2. A mandatory Confirmation Screen which summarises the payable/repayable balance of an online VAT 3 prior to submission.

These changes have been applied from 10 September 2017. The Tax and Duty Manual “Enhancement of VAT 3 Filing Process in ROS” refers.
