Proportionate payment of VRT on leased vehicles
Customer application
Use myAccount or Revenue Online Service (ROS) to apply for the proportionate payment scheme. This can be accessed under the Vehicle Services Tab by clicking: VRT EU Leased Vehicle – Leasee.
You can apply as an individual or as a business once you are established in the State.
When completing, carefully review each section of the application as this will be checked against the leasing company record. In particular you will have to confirm that you have accurately recorded:
- the leasing company’s Value Added Tax (VAT) number
- and
- the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the vehicle. This is a unique 17-character combination of numbers and capital letters. The letters I, O and Q are not valid characters.
You do not have to submit a copy of the lease, but please retain it for verification purposes.
