Revenue seize drugs worth €25,400 at Dublin Mail Centre

Today (17/02/2020), as a result of routine operations and with the assistance of detector dog Bailey, Revenue officers at Dublin Mail Centre seized 1.2kgs of herbal cannabis and 20g of cocaine with an estimated street value of €25,400. The illegal drugs were discovered in four parcels which originated in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Three of the parcels, containing herbal cannabis, were declared as ‘Vintage Tommy, ‘Hot Wheels toy car’, and ‘Forever21 Woman’s coat’. The remaining parcel, containing cocaine, was concealed in a pair of ‘Nike Air Max’. All parcels were destined for an address in Dublin.Investigations are ongoing.

These seizures are part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the importation, supply and sale of illegal tobacco products in the shadow economy.
