How to apply for a customs deferred payment authorisation

If you wish to apply for a customs deferred payment authorisation, you should already be approved for a comprehensive guarantee.

You will need your comprehensive guarantee authorisation number before you can apply for a deferred payment authorisation. You should apply for a customs deferred payment authorisation using the Customs Decisions System (CDS). You should also complete a Direct Debit for Customs Duty, Excise and VRT Form.

You may allow your customs clearance agent to use your deferred payment authorisation on your behalf. If you wish to do this you should also complete the Customs and Excise clearance agent form.

You should send the completed forms to the eCustoms Accounting Unit.
