Manage your tax registrations for ROS
Who is the Revenue Online Service (ROS) for?
ROS is for businesses and for individuals who are registered for business-related taxes. Business-related taxes include:
- Employer Pay As You Earn (PAYE-EMP)
- Income Tax
- Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT)
- and
- Value-Added Tax (VAT).
ROS is also for tax agents, solicitors and liquidators using Tax Advisory Identification Numbers (TAINs).
ROS can be used to register for the following taxes:
- Capital Acquisitions Tax (CAT)
- Capital Gains Tax (CGT)
- Customs & Excise (C&E)
- Defective Concrete Products Levy (DCPL)
- Diesel Rebate Scheme (DRS)
- Employer PAYE or Employer Pay Related Social Insurance (PRSI)
- Environmental Levy (ELEV)
- Income Tax
- Mineral Oil Tax (MOT)
- PAYE
- RCT
- VAT.
In addition, ROS can be used to:
- cancel any, or all, tax registrations for an existing business
- re-register for a tax
- view and print a Registration Status Certificate which will detail all your tax registrations and their current status
- register a partnership or a trust
- register as a Sugar Sweetened Drinks Supplier (SSDS) or as a Sugar Sweetened Drinks Exporter (SSDE)
- and
- nominate an agent to one of your tax registrations (This is for ROS customers only).
Customers who cannot use the service
Applicants in any of the following categories or circumstances should continue to submit paper applications to their Revenue office:
- Individuals currently not eligible to register for ROS.
- Non-assessable spouses.
- Companies that have no Irish-resident directors.
- Unincorporated bodies or non-profit organisations (for example, schools, boards of management or charities), who are not represented by an agent.
- Executors.
- or
- Collection agents.
What you need to use the service
To use the service, you will need:
- your registration details for ROS
- the tax type you wish to register, cease or re-register
- and
- the date you wish to register, cease or re-register.
How to access the service
The service is available through ROS by clicking on the 'Manage Tax Registrations' option on the 'My Services' screen.
