Diesel Rebate Scheme
Claim – Republic of Ireland (ROI) licence holders
Once registered for the scheme, you will be able to submit claims for repayment online through the Revenue Online Service (ROS).
If you have a large fleet of vehicles, you may submit claims by uploading an offline file. For further information, please see Schema and Notes.
When claiming, you will need to enter:
- the transport operator's licence number
- and
- the transport manager's certificate of professional competence number (not a driver CPC).
These details must have been active within the claim period.
For each vehicle in your claim, you will need the:
- Vehicle registration number.
- Odometer readings at the beginning of the repayment period.
- Odometer readings at the end of the repayment period.
- Quantity of diesel purchased with a fuel card, and used in that vehicle.
- Quantity of diesel used in that vehicle from bulk supply.
For each fuel card, you will need the:
- Fuel card number.
- Total volume of diesel purchased in Ireland.
- Total volume of auto diesel for which a claim is being made.
For bulk purchases, you will need the:
- Supplier’s name, address and auto-fuel trader’s licence number.
- Invoice number.
- Date of delivery.
- Volume of each purchase.
Note
The delivery address must be your business premises, or a premises under your control.
A vehicle may be added to your operator licence at any time by the Department of Transport. Where the Department of Transport has recently added your vehicle to your operator licence, it may take three to four weeks to show on ROS. Once available on ROS, you may claim diesel used in a vehicle from the date that vehicle was registered to your operator licence.
