Register a property for Local Property Tax (LPT)

You can use this service if your newly-built or newly-renovated property:

  • is liable for Local Property Tax (LPT)
  • and
  • is not yet registered with Revenue for LPT.

You can access this service to submit your property details through myAccount or the Revenue Online Service (ROS). If you are not already registered for either of these, you can access the service via the LPT online service instead.

Note

If you purchased a property subject to Stamp Duty, it has already been registered for LPT and assigned a Property ID and PIN. You do not need to self-register your property.

To access the service through myAccount

  1. Sign into myAccount.
  2. Click on 'Register New Property' in the 'Property Services' section.

To access the service through ROS

  1. Sign into ROS.
  2. Click on the ‘Other Services’ page.
  3. Click on ‘Register New Property’.

You can register your new property via the LPT online service if you are already registered for LPT for another property. To do so:

  1. Click LPT online.
  2. Enter your Personal Public Service Number (PPSN), Property ID and PIN.
  3. Click ‘Sign In’.
  4. Select the ‘Register Residential Property’ option from the list of options provided.

If you are not registered for ROS, myAccount or LPT online, you should contact our LPT Branch to register your property. You should provide the following:

  • your name
  • your address
  • your PPSN
  • the address and Eircode of your new or renovated property
  • the valuation band that applies to your new or renovated property
  • the date the property was completed.
