Revenue seize drugs worth €38,000 in Dublin

Yesterday (15/04/2020), as part of an intelligence led operation, Revenue officers seized almost 2kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €38,000 following a search, under warrant, of a premises in the Kilbarrack area of Dublin.

The joint operation was conducted by Revenue’s Custom Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Gardaí from the Clontarf Drugs Unit.

An Irish man, aged 29, was arrested at the scene by Gardaí and was detained under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Clontarf Garda Station.

Investigations are ongoing.
