Manual on the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights
The Customs Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights Manual has been revised. The manual provides guidance on Revenue's role in the protection of Intellectual Property Rights on behalf of Rights Holders for goods being imported from outside the European Union, as provided for under Regulation (EU) 608/2013.
The updated sections provide:
- Advice on the electronic submission of Applications for Action (AFA's)
- Details of the requirement to include the Economic Operator's Registration and Identification (EORI) number when submitting, amending or extending an AFA
- Information on the introduction of the EU Customs Trader Portal for the electronic submission of an AFA.
