Mary submitted her LPT Return on 7 November 2025 and selected LPT valuation band 3 for her property (€315,001 to €420,000). This valuation band is based on the value of her property as at the valuation date of 1 November 2025. Mary is happy that this valuation is reasonable and honest. She referred to Revenue’s interactive valuation tool as well as the Residential Property Price Register in determining her valuation band.
In 2028, Mary thinks her property should now be valued at around €500,000, due to property price increases in her area. Mary does not have to amend her valuation because the valuation date for LPT is 1 November 2025. The valuation band she selected reflected the value of her property on 1 November 2025 and this valuation continues to apply until 1 November 2030.
