Revenue seize illegal medicine worth €80,000 at the Dublin Parcel Hub
Yesterday (09/04/2020), as a result of routine profiling, Revenue officers at the Dublin Parcel Hub seized 12.9Kgs of illegal medicine, suspected to be Alprazolam, with estimated value of €80,000. The parcel, containing almost 40,000 tablets, originated in India and was destined for an address in Co. Dublin.
Investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution.
These seizures are part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the supply and sale of illegal drugs and medicines in the shadow economy.
