Revenue reopens key telephone helplines to assist customers unable to use online services
Today (20/07/2020), Revenue reminded customers that the quickest, easiest and most convenient way to manage their tax affairs is by using Revenue’s wide range of online services. Taxpayers and their agents can send enquiries and correspondence on any matter through Revenue’s secure online service, MyEnquiries, which is available in both myAccount and ROS. Revenue confirmed that, as has been the case throughout the public health restrictions to date, it will continue to focus on the rapid turnaround in responses to online enquiries received through the MyEnquiries service.
However, Revenue fully appreciates that not all customers are able to use or resolve their enquiries through its online services. To assist and support these customers Revenue has been expanding its ability to operate key telephone helplines while staff continue to work from home in line with public health advice aimed at suppressing the transmission of the COVID-19 virus.
Revenue explained that, where possible, it wishes to prioritise these telephone services for those who cannot resolve their enquiries through the online channels. From today the following telephone helplines are available Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
