Revenue seize cannabis worth over €133,000 in Blanchardstown
Last Friday (16/7/2021), as part of an intelligence led operation, Revenue officers seized almost 6.7 kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €133,600, following a search, under warrant, of a premises in the Blanchardstown area of Dublin.
The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the ‘K’ District Drugs Unit at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
Two people, a man aged 22 and a woman aged 41, were arrested by An Garda Síochána. Both are currently detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996 at Blanchardstown Garda Station. Investigations are ongoing.
This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
