Revenue seize drugs worth over €118,000 in Wexford
Today (18/11/2021), as part of an intelligence led operation, Revenue officers seized chloromethcathinone and herbal cannabis with an estimated value of more than €118,000 when a premises was searched, under warrant, in County Wexford.
The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Wexford Divisional Drugs Unit.
A man and a woman, both in their 40’s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána in connection with this seizure. Both are currently detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996 at Enniscorthy Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
