Revenue seize 3 million cigarettes at Dublin Port
Today (02/03/2022), as a result of an intelligence led operation, Revenue officers seized 3 million cigarettes at Dublin Port with an estimated retail value of more than €2.2 million, representing a potential loss to the Exchequer of approximately €1.8 million.
The unstamped cigarettes, branded ‘Regal King Size’, were discovered with the assistance of Revenue’s mobile x-ray scanner, following the search of a consignment that originated in Rotterdam.
