Revenue seize cocaine worth over €1 million at Dublin Airport

Yesterday (11/07/2022), as part of an intelligence led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 16kgs of cocaine, with an estimated value of €1.1 million, at Dublin Airport.

The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and law enforcement agencies in Germany and South America.

Three men were arrested in the environs of Dublin Airport by An Garda Síochána in connection with this seizure. They are detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Blanchardstown and Coolock Garda Stations.

Investigations are ongoing.

This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
