Revenue seize drugs worth €169,000 in Dublin
Today (13/01/2023), as part of an intelligence led operation, Revenue officers seized 84,500 alprazolam tablets with an estimated value of €169,000 in the North Dublin Area.
The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Coolock District Drugs unit.
A man in his teens was arrested by An Garda Síochána and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Ballymun Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
